SURROUNDINGS

The Pisan coast is made up of the towns of Marina di Pisa, Tirrena and Calambrone and overlooks the marvelous Tuscan sea. The area is characterized by the presence of large green areas dominated by domestic pines and Mediterranean scrub which makes the experience unique and relaxing for nature lovers.
Calambrone is located along the coast between Livorno and Pisa, easily accessible from the A11 motorway and well connected to the international airport of Pisa.

The area is dominated by the Tombolo estate which is the southern district of the Migliarino, San Rossore and Massaciuccoli natural park. The recent natural park of Meloria and the Tuscan archipelago dominates the mirror of water in front of it.

It also turns out to be a privileged starting point to discover all the treasures that Tuscany reserves for visitors, famous pearls all over the world such as Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, Siena, Florence and many other small realities to be discovered or discover the islands of Tuscan archipelago.

It is therefore easy to understand how our campsite is in a position that allows both to enjoy a relaxing beach holiday with the family in a safe and not very treacherous beach with beautiful sand, and to explore history, nature and food and wine of Tuscany for those who want a more “on the road” holiday. Finally, our sailing center allows us to satisfy even the needs of the most sporty.

The recent area of the Lido of Marina di Pisa is now an area of nightlife for all ages; those who want to spend evenings full of fun will find excellent venues from aperitifs to after dinner. Alternatively, a walk in the cool of Tirrenia, Marina di Pisa or in the nearby Versilia.

PISA

It is located just 15 km from Calambrone and is a historic city rich in history and monuments starting from its Piazza dei Miracoli with the Leaning Tower and many other churches and museums to visit.
In Pisa you can also find all the services not present along the coast and offers an interesting nightlife in the historic center.
For those who have ever seen the Tower of Pisa, this is an essential stop on any holiday on the Pisan coast.

LIVORNO

It is located only 12 km and in addition to its port which allows boarding to the nearby islands.
The city of Labronica also offers many ideas that are worth a visit: the famous Terrazza Mascagni, the fantastic Aquarium ideal both for families with children and for all lovers of the sea and the Venice district, the nerve center of the city’s nightlife.

SAN ROSSORE NATURAL PARK

A few kilometers from the campsite we find the Natural park of San Rossore Migliarino and Massaciuccoli, which can be explored thanks to some initiatives of the park itself that are periodically published.
A nature trip to discover typically Mediterranean lake areas and forests.

VERSILIA

It is located along the coast heading north a few kilometers from the campsite.
Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi are certainly worth a night visit for its nightlife and the numerous restaurants present. Popular with VIPs and great for shopping.

SIENA

The city of the Palio is 130 km away but its history and traditions are worth the trip. Along the way you will cross the most famous hills in the world where Chianti is produced and where you can enjoy incredible landscapes.
It is useless to talk about the beauty of the city or the museums to visit, as well as superfluous to talk about food and wine, but we suggest a visit to the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo, less famous than many other Tuscan museums, but which knows how to give the visitor unique emotions.

ELBA ISLAND

Connected very well and frequently by ferry from Livorno or Piombino, it is the pearl of the Tuscan Archipelago and can be reached with a short crossing. Here you can find the most beautiful beaches and coves, in an absolutely postcard sea that has nothing to envy to far more famous destinations in the world.
Ideal for diving enthusiasts and for those seeking peace, tranquility and beautiful nature.

LUCCA

Just 20 km away and easily accessible from the A11 we find a pearl of rare beauty, a medieval fortress city, famous throughout the world for its spectacular intact circular walls.
Dense network of alleys full of shops and handicrafts to be discovered.

FIRENZE

Always easily accessible along the A11 at 90Km we find the most beautiful city in the world, a pearl that always surprises the visitor. Making a list of places to visit in Florence is superfluous, from Ponte Vecchio to Piazza della Signoria, from Palazzo Vecchio to the Duomo, the Baptistery, the church of Santa Maria Novella, the Uffizi, the Accademia Gallery as well as a unique food and wine in Worldwide.
We also suggest the possibility of visiting Florence by train from the nearby stations of Pisa or Viareggio, since the Santa Maria Novella station is located right in the historic center of the city.
